This 16 module course is designed to prepare ministry directors and pastors for the work of leading volunteers in children's and youth ministry. Called invests in the shepherds, equipping them to develop disciple-makers in the church.

Course Content
This flexible course contains 16, 1 month modules. Each month, one module is offered so as to provide community for learning engagement. Each module follows the same pattern:
Session One
Week One: Video (50 minutes of directive teaching)
Week Two: Reading Assignment with written Response
Session Two
Week Three: Video (50 minutes of directive teaching)
Week Four: Reading Assignment with written Response
Students can expect to spend 2-4 hours of work for each lecture hour, for an estimated total of 6-10 hours per one month module.
Every module contains two sessions. The first session addresses the theological understanding of the topic. It answers "why we do what we do." The second session provides practical application of the biblical truth. Per session, expect:
*50 minutes of directive teaching by steaming video
*Assigned work (Scripture study, blog or book reading, or a podcast)
*Written response & Assessment (either as part of a community forum or online quiz)
Called to Lead can be completed in a two year period, and culminates in a certificate of Family Ministry Leadership.
Scope and Sequence
Note, the exact course schedule is provided at registration. Both Module 1, and Student Orientation (50 minute live on-line session), are required prior to enrolling in any other module, and are therefore offered multiple times per year.
